WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
Before booking any sessions, I require a brief discovery call. This FREE call allows us to discuss your needs (or your child’s) and the type of support you’re seeking. During this call, we’ll cover the basics and determine the next steps.
After this, we’ll book a more in-depth consultation where we’ll explore the challenges in greater detail and discuss how I can help. For sessions with children and young people, parents are welcome to stay for the first 5–10 minutes to help their child feel at ease, after which I’ll work with them one-on-one.
If, after the consultation, we all feel confident moving forward, we can then schedule the main sessions to begin the process of support and transformation.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I, OR MY CHILD NEED?
The number of sessions required varies depending on the individual and the challenges they are facing. For adults and young people aged 14 and over, therapy typically lasts between 6-12 sessions, while children under 14 generally need 5-10 sessions. However, progress is highly influenced by the client's commitment and input during and between sessions. By actively engaging in the process and completing any tasks or practices provided, clients are more likely to achieve lasting meaningful results.
AM I IN CONTROL WHEN BEING HYPNOTISED?
When being hypnotised, you remain fully in control at all times. Hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused relaxation, similar to when you daydream, lose track of time while reading, or get absorbed in a task. It’s something we all experience naturally throughout our daily lives, and children often enter this state while playing or using their imagination. In a session, we use this natural state to help you or your child make positive changes, always with your full awareness and consent.
IS THERE ANYTHING I, OR MY CHILD, WILL NEED TO DO OUTSIDE OF THE SESSIONS?
Your input is a vital part of working with me. To make the most of your therapy journey, I may ask you—or your child or young person—to do some ‘outside work’ between sessions. This could include practicing techniques, reflecting on specific tasks, or listening to a personalised hypnotherapy audio I provide. For hypnotherapy clients, this audio is a key part of the process, reinforcing the work we do in sessions and helping to embed positive changes more effectively.
Commitment and consistency are essential for achieving lasting results. The more effort you put into the process, the quicker and more beneficial the progress will be, ensuring you or your child experience the full impact of the therapy.
